Overall, very enjoyable (especially for fans of CL Stone). Kitten was a bit annoying at times. She has a photographic memory yet no understanding of some basic things? I get that she was a street kid, but she read tons of books and was exposed to lots of people and things that would have furthered her understanding of basics. It was annoying at times, but overall, still a good read if you are into reverse harems.
The main character gets too annoying to handle for me to enjoy this one. At first she's fine but she slowly turns into this irritating, ignorant, too-good-to-be-true, slightly manipulative thing. She even keeps mispronouncing Yoga and "Yoba" which is supposed to be endearing. It's hard to cheer for romantic relationships when the woman is obsessed with stuffed animals, piggyback rides and acting like a child around eight men. Also, her name is actually Kitten....which gets annoying since show more they keep saying, even saying "Miss Kitten." Sigh. On the other hand the guys actually aren't bad, but there's a lot of past history that makes them feel all bad for her and protective. There is very little story after awhile - it's mainly conversations about playing about the most random things. Also, eight is just too much so I start getting them confused or forgetting about some of them.
The story is too long considering the development doesn't offer enough changes, and the longer the story goes the more clear it is that "Kitten" has the IQ of a steak.
AND her age makes no sense. Half the time it reads as a YA novel since she starts as 16 but then apparently is an adult later because she "counted" summers starting at 4-6 yrs old, so add 16 to that or whatever. She acts so childish though --- the doctor in the pack, she takes her teddy bear to him for "surgery" sewing and runs around with candy baskets - so I hardly care about her erotic explorations with the guys. It's weird. show less

Again it's a cute story. And I respect the work that the character, the female character, does to get her pack in order. However, the grammar scares me. And there are certain points throughout the book that I think the author is doing exactly what I'm doing by using Google voice to text. I am however going to read the last book because I want to see how things work out.
So for the people that read my reviews, I will admit that I actually like this book better than the second book. There was still some humping and grinding but it wasn't overpowering. Just enough.
Now for the things I did not like. The fact that they kept on calling the grandfather Marcus when that's not his name. Marcus was the evil uncle. So why did they keep on screwing up and calling maksim, Marcus?
Also there were several grammar issues. Things that are so simple and can actually be show more corrected on any software.
And then calling the children different names. That drove me insane. Like Asher. At one point they called him Ashton. That kind of thing drives a person and saying.
Also there is a point in book 3 where they state that kitten has never given head before. However in book 2 she does to finn. In the library. Where she gets boned by Kellen and blows Finn. Yes I know that was a little adult there but whatever.
Attention to detail throughout her book when she was proofreading probably would have been much more appreciated.
All that aside I gave it an extra star because I actually did like the end of this book. Actually I like the entire book but the ending was my favorite.
Now I have to wonder, is there another book after this? I'm so confused. Or is it a spin-off? And is it completed? I guess I'm going to find out huh? show less
