How do you rate a classic like this one? It is a collection of recipes from local Chicagoans from the 1930's. There's even a section on "How to Gain Weight." Other things you don't see often today - Bridge menus, Menus for Tea, St. Patrick's Day, & 10 Minute Meals (Rachel Ray didn't coin the market after all...). Also includes seasonal menus for spring, summer, winter, fall.

Really great shape. Menus for every day of the year including holidy cookery. Red edged pages. Seasonable, inexpensive bills of fare for every day in the year, designed to furnish good living in appetizing variety, at an expense not to exceed $500 a year for a family of five ... 1,100 prize menus with recipes carefully indexed, the cream of 10,000 manuscripts contributed by the women of America to the Chicago record's daily contest for menus for a day
