Laura Berkeley

This book is about and old lady that tries to sell a city books about wisdom. The mayor of the city feel slike they are happy and don't need any wisdom, but towards the end of the book they experience many trials and hard times. They wish they would have listen to the old woman that had come three times to sell them wisdom, but they turned her away. Finally, they use the last of their money to buy the last book she has and overtime they get back on their feet. The mayor decides to go and show more tell others about the wisdon that he has and travel just as the old woman had been doing. The story was about people that think they know everything, but no one knows everything so it a lesson in that. Also, I really like the illustrations that were very different that what you usually see in books. show less
