R. Louis Gentilcore (1924–1993)

This volume, arguably, is the highest quality book of Ontario historical maps available. Published in 1984 as an Ontario bicentennial project and costing $160 at the time, the initial 500 numbered copies of this limited edition have become treasured collector's volumes. The maps are large enough for the most demading researchers to examine details that spur further research and provide understanding available from no other source. The set of maps, mostly in colour, is accompanied by careful show more detail in description and source identification.
