Reviews
A long running zine, one of several by Bruce Gillespie, who is highly regarded in SF fandom on both sides of the Pacific (and even over on the Atlantic--both sides, again). Contents range from lists of favourite films and books (the man's appetites are insatiable) to insightful and in depth book reviews and retrospectives of a given author's work. (eg in SFC83, Philip K Dick, in SFC76, George Turner). The 40th anniversary issue (SFC80, 2010), features a number of articles on PK Dick and show more Damien Broderick's "New Wave and Backwash: 1960–1980". Add to all this Bruce's writings on long time fans and author--unfortunately sometimes obituaries--and a lively letter column, this and Bruce's other zines are well worth taking a look at.
