Dag Norberg (1909–1996)

Norberg obtained his doctorate in 1937 at the University of Uppsala, and in 1948 he became professor of Latin language and literature at the University of Stockholm , where he remained until his retirement in 1974, and of which he was also rector in the years 1966-1974.

In 1946 he became a member of the Royal Society of Humanities in Uppsala, in 1955 he joined the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities , and in 1965 he was elected a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
