I received a copy of this book from the publisher via netgalley.com in exchange for an honest review.

I didn't get all the way through this novel, so I am not particularly comfortable rating it. However, it is a memoir rather than a "story"as such so I feel like it will be consistent the entire way through.

The experiences and writing are very honest, though a bit rambling at times. An interesting insight into living in a poverty stricken, high crime/violence town with a multitude of social show more issues including class/racism. Though this felt more like one event after the next rather than a real insight into Zeke's mind and experiences and what they meant to him.

Perhaps someone else will enjoy this novel. It's my no means a bad read, just not for me :) show less
