I love the characters and the series, they work well together and their lives are well drawn. Foyle continues to be a man of integrity and deals with a variety of situations in interesting and clever ways, sometimes the war effort gets in the way and you can see his frustration with politics.
And I love his driver, Samantha Stewart, played by Honeysuckle Weeks.

This is a fun movie, but the connection to Alice in Wonderland is very minor.
A young woman comes to America as the companion to 80-year-old Alice. An out of work reporter acts as agent in getting the old woman advertising jobs. He and the companion fall in love. Recaps of some of the scenes from the book are an excuse to show off Henson's puppetry.
