Furio Rinaldi

This is yet another exhibit that I wanted to see but missed because of Covid. I was disappointed in this exhibit catalog. There was a lot more to read than what would have been in the exhibit proper, and it was interesting, but I’m sure there was less to see, and the main reason that I read it was to see the art. I was happy that I got to see the plates that were included and some of the paintings were ones I hadn’t previously seen so seeing them was particularly satisfying, but I show more didn’t like that while each painting and most of the other artworks had their own pages, quite a few were presented so that they took up very little space on the page. If those had been closer to full page I would have been able to see them better and appreciate them more. I’m sure I would have loved this exhibit and I’m grateful that I did get to read the book but I’m fine with it being a borrowed library book. 3-1/2 stars show less
