“Hillbilly Elegy” by J.D. Vance is a 273-page depiction of a family’s impoverished existence in Ohio and Kentucky. This FastReads brief 24-page book at best provides a superficial overview of each chapter. At worse, the “Key Takeaways” misses points or misses the point.
