This book gives a meditation regime that basically involves 2 minutes of mindfulness, 15 minutes of transcendental meditation and a couple of minutes of a gratitude/visualising/goal fulfilling wishes. The first 120 pages are basically an advert for how wonderful meditation is generally, and this technique specifically. There is one chapter on the technique, and then more adverts for what will happen if you use this technique for the rest of the book, largely.

There is some science quoted in show more there, but as a neuroscientist I was aware it was at times wrong or misleading.

I'd prefer to try out a more pure technique than this one, but I can see the benefits to those starting out, as it is short, compound and relatively easy to try. I just felt there was almost nothing of substance here, with just one chapter that was critical.
