Ginny Callan is the founder and former chef of the popular vegetarian restaurant Horn of the Moon Cafe in Montpelier, Vermont. She sold the cafe in 1990 to raise her family and devote more time to creating new recipes.

The stuffed pita pockets remain a family favorite for vegetarian and meat eaters alike. I made the broccoli and mushroom quiche for my sister's wedding shower. This cookbook remains a favorite even after 20 years.
This is my most used cookbook. Every single recipe has been great and I have probably made half of them, which is saying a lot! These are not healthy recopies though, cheese, eggs, and butter are used in many of the recopies. My favorite dishes are the Oriental Tofu balls with Stir Fry in Fruit Sauce, the Blue Cheese Potatoes, the Deluxe Hash browns, and the Sundried Tomato Balsamic Pasta.
