Father Clark entered the Jesuits in 1946, following service in World II, was ordained to the priesthood on June 17, 1959 and pronounced final vows in 1963. He earned his doctorate in economics and business administration at UCLA. Father Clark joined Loyola University's College of Business Administration faculty in 1965, teaching management and business in society, including business ethics, until his appointment in 1968 as academic vice president. He served in that role during the merger of Loyola University and Marymount College to form Loyola Marymount University. Father Clark returned to the classroom in 1980 for two years before being chosen to serve a six-year term as provincial of the California Province of the Society of Jesus. Following his term as provincial, Father Clark served as academic vice president at the University of San Francisco. In later years he served as a spiritual director at the House of Prayer for Priests in the Los Angeles Archdiocese. - Birthplace
