Dr. Michael Collins is an associate professor of history at UCL. He studied at Cambridge, the London School of Economics, and Oxford, where he was awarded his PhD in modern history in 2009. Having previously taught at the University of Oxford, he has been a permanent member of the UCL history staff since 2010. He has published widely on the cultural and intellectual history of the British Empire, on nationalism and decolonization, and on cricket in terms of imperial culture and post-imperial identity. From 2021 to 2024 he was also a commissioner at the UK's Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket (ICEC). - Places of residence
