A perfect book for young kaiju fans, but perhaps even more perfect for those who are not kaiju fans. Or at least, for those who don't seem like kaiju fans.

The art is freaking adorable: I love those tiny citizens and Anzu's family. Also, the idea of young kaiju receiving their city on the day they come of age. Now I have to go collect all the books.

wonderful way to introduce younger readers to the traditions of a Chinese New Year but the illustrations are showing slanted eyes for the Asian characters where the white characters have round eyes.

This is a story about a young hippo named Holly. Her sister Dottie, her father, and Holly are headed to the pool one day. holly gets nervous when her father mentions going to the pool. She is afraid the water will be too cold, or that shell get water in her eyes, ears, or nose. Holly is afraid she might sink to the bottom, and is afraid that their might be a snapping turtle in the pool.
