A gorgeous production from National Geographic, recounting the travails of the author who often spent months without getting a good shot or even seeing a tiger, in the forests of South and Southeast Asia. It also summarizes the population position in various regions, and the struggles and heartbreaks entailed in protecting the tiger and its habitats. Painful reading, as all conservation accounts are bound to be, but a valuable consolidation of the data, with biographical sketches of the show more people on the ground and visuals of many of the habitats and their denizens. show less
