Deutsche Schriftsteller im Porträt. Das Zeitalter des Barock by Martin Bircher
This small anthology presents the lives and works of 88 German authors of the 17th century, together with a portrait of each author. It includes the biographies of authors who so far haven't played a role in the German literary canon. In times when the literature of the 17th century has mostly disappeared from the curriculum of German studies, this is a most satisfying and enjoyable book.
