Goes through the feasts in Leviticus 23 and explains their prophetic meaning through Christian interpretation, and I found it interesting reading when I was going through Leviticus at the same time. It's a short and accessible book.

A history lesson concerning the 400 hundred years of slience between the Old and New Testaments. Also called the Intertestamental Period, these years were characterized by the rise and fall of mighty empires (Babylon, Persia, and Greece) with leaders that mainly led their empires in battle and governance with brutality and arrogance. We see the Jewish nation in the grips of these empires and their treatment under each. With the rise of the Roman Empire the Jewish nation is at a low ebb, led show more by despicable rulers like Herod who defile their religious traditions. Into this period comes the Messiah and the advent of His Kingdom which had no earthly throne. show less
The author tells the story of the Jewish people which is not included in the Bible: the intertestamental period. He draws heavily from Josephus and the Maccabees. After reading Josephus I found this book to be a little easier to understand.
