The Woodentops washing day, Publicity Products London by arrangement with the BBC, [?1957,] Hardback. My recollection is that the Woodentops with their bare wooden tops were a bit odd. This adventure concerns washing day and Mummy Woodentop and Jenny Woodentop going out to buy new shoes. They left the clean washing hanging on the washing line to dry, enabling Spotty dog to jump up and make all the washing muddy with his dirty paws. Battered and bruised but what memories this colour photo book brings back. We were amazed at this primitive stuff on early TV.

I think today's children would struggle to understand what this book is about as they will not know what a weather house is.
