Very cute web-comic compilation, and it successfully manages to be both witty and sentimental. It's a quick but meaningful read, full of the artist's takes on the ups and downs of day-to-day romantic love, life during the COVID lockdown, and the bittersweet and earnest love of a grandchild for his aging grandparents. The tone of the collection is mostly humorous, and it's so cutely drawn! I know the whole gimmick is the size differential, but she exaggeratedly draws herself as comically show more small and her boyfriend as comically large. There's even a comically fluffy doggo to round things out! Definitely worth a read. Publishes August 18, 2026. This review is based on a complimentary DRC of the book, all opinions are my own. show less
Gentle, conventional cartoons about a man and woman living together with their Pomeranian dog in Malaysia. Sweet slice-of-life humor about love, cohabitation and pets does yield occasionally in the second half of the book to drama surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and some aging issues with the boyfriend's grandparents.
These cartoons were chosen -- sometimes a little too randomly -- from Fishball's long-running Webtoon series.
I'd definitely pick up a second volume.

This is such an adorable collection of an autobiographical comic! Having learned that this webtoon has been a top popular comic on the Webtoon website and has also been awarded the Ring Award for Best Humor Comic, Fishball allows readers a glimpse into her personal life that can also be relatable for practically anyone! Her illustration is colorful and the over dramatic facial expressions and reactions are what make the various episodes fun and quick to read! Although we were required 5 show more episodes, I found myself continuing to read since most of the episodes were short. What also made this webcomic relatable is the fact that the author seemed around my age, with pop culture references that I understood! Although the art style is simple, not overtly detailed when it comes to drawing people, the quick paced and cute style made it a fun read. show less
