Oh my god... so freaking adorable! Poor Frank wakes up one day and one of his legs is missing. He's not sure he is a spider anymore with 7 legs. He's on a mission to find his missing leg. Will he find it or be a lesser than spider? Cute artwork and super sweet story.
Frank is a talented spider. He spins uncommonly beautiful webs and enjoys all of the activities that his spider friends are fond of. Unfortunately, he waked up one morning without one of his legs.

"Is he still a spider? Frank doesn't know."

The rest of the book Frank struggles with finding his missing leg. He searches in comical places and is often tricked by things that look much like his illustrated leg that went missing. It's a very simple book with an easy resolution. The smiling spiders show more with their amusing tricks make the message very approachable. Frank is still a spider, no matter how many legs go missing, and his friends still appreciate him, but it takes a change in his own mind and his own voice to really make him confident in his spidey abilities.

The illustrations are graphic with some comic spreads that would be challenging to see from far away in a read-aloud. Would be a nice book to have for children to read to themselves or as an easy read-to-self book. There is a sparse design to the illustrations and words.

Precious! Frank learns that just because he is different he is still himself and that it is okay to be different!
