All. Buttons. Pushed.

I'm officially in love with this series, my favorite romantic comedy since My Love Story!!. I was already rooting for the delightful Tomo and less oblivious Jun, but now we are introduced to Tomo's parents and they are simply adorable. Hell, the whole supporting cast just works for me.

And then to have Tomo and Jun each have to stand up to some bullies . . .

I'm melting.
A lighthearted slumber party and a romantic night at a fireworks festival get things off to a jolly start. But then the bullies from Vol. 2 return to get revenge on Tomo and Jun and see an opportunity to take it out on two of the duo's weaker female friends. Excitement ensues, of course, but the true drama unfurls in the aftermath as dominos start to fall and its revealed that the biggest threats to Tomo and Jun's romantic future have been lurking inside their friendship group all show more along.

Throw in terrific appearances by Tomo's mom and dad, and this is the best volume of the series yet. Much LOL and shouting of "Oh, no, she didn't!!" on my part throughout.

Gosh, this book (and series) makes me so happy from start to finish. I love the cast, the humor and the romance. This outing we meet Carol's parents, watch Tomo cope with a video game sleepover at her crush's house, have some tutoring and insight into everyone's level of intelligence, see bras and get some insight into everyone's . . . intelligence, and marvel at Tomo's birthday makeover. Stupid fun, stupidly funny, and it just makes me smile.
This is a pretty stupid teen romantic comedy, but for the life of me every page just made me so happy I couldn't stop smiling. Tomo is a lifelong tomboy with a crush on the oblivious boy next door, and she is going to make him love her even if she has to beat the crap out of him . . . which she does many, many times because she is just so clueless as to what else she should be doing.
