Even though In Love & Pajamas was an impulse buy at Target, I don't regret it for a moment. I follow @CatanaComics on Instagram and I adore her work. It's honest, cute, and so relatable for me and my husband - I regularly send her comics to him and in fact... while I read this one, I kept taking pictures of the panels and sending them to him as well. Chetwynd shares snapshots of her experiences in a happy, honest relationship and In Love & Pajamas is when you've hit the point of not being show more embarrassed in front of your partner any longer.
There's certainly comics in this set that are recognizable if you follow @CatanaComics, but there are plenty new ones as well. This is a perfect book for relatable chuckles (my husband and I both got a kick out of the "did you drive my car?" comic) as well as just to break away from the day's monotony and spend an hour smiling. I highly recommend this little book... and bonus! Mine came with stickers. So that was fun.
Not a single bad thing to say about this little book. It was well curated and fun! 5/5 stars. show less

There is no fixed way to love someone and the moments that make you fall in love with a person are sometimes so small that they may seem unsignificant to other people. I'm really happy to have read those moments between Catana and John.
it really did make me feel warm and fuzzy inside
This was so show more friccin cute. And it becomes sweeter when you remember that this was experienced by two very real people and not just some imaginary scenes.
The design was very minimalistic but it fit the tone overall, which was perfect. It included some cliche things that were expected, but I was happy to see it in Chetwynd's style and perspective. She put a lot of her own twists from her personal experiences which made it extra unique.
It was either very relatable or it was something that you can imagine happening to yourself.
Some of the drawing were actually humorous and some were a bit more serious and deep which I appreciated. It was really diverse in terms of topics, like: growing old together, thankfulness, daily routines, expectations and realities, etc. The moments that I saw also did not seem to appeal to just women to relate to, despite the author being a woman herself, it also seems like something men would also find an enjoyable read.
It did not stick to just one theme and it never revolved around one thing which, if you think about it, is the real essence of love. show less

In a Nutshell: Cute!
The latest instalment from one of the cutest contemporary comic artists, Catana Chetwynd.
As always, this book chronicles her life with her fiancé John and their connection with each other, with their pets and with their (limited) social circle. The central theme in this graphic novel, as the title suggests, is ‘home’. As Catana mentions in the author’s note, it is “a testament to the homey bond – both being at home together and finding home in each other.” show more
The comics are as adorable as always. Catana and John provide serious relationship goals through their amazing connection with each other, and this bonhomie is exuded throughout the book. Her comics are almost always relatable, whether to a great or a minor extent. I am not sure if it does complete justice to the “home” theme, but if you forget about that factor and just read it for the fun of it, you will definitely enjoy the joyride.
The illustrations are in typical Catana style, in B&W and with ample cuteness. If you are familiar with her work, you know what to expect.
The reason I didn’t go higher with my rating is that many of the comics were familiar to me. Of course, this is clarified on the back blurb, which says that the collection has 50% fan favourites and 50% new comics. As I follow the author’s page on Facebook, I knew most of the fan favourites. I did still enjoy them, but that freshness factor went for a toss.
If you would love a book about love, depicting a beautiful relationship where the partners seem to work so nicely in sync with each other, and have a few laughs along the way, this is a great choice. The physical book comes with stickers at the end.
4 stars
My thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing and Edelweiss for the DRC of “You Are Home”. This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book.

Sweet, simple, and short comics about being in a relationship. Like the introduction says, I glanced over at J more than once (and laughed out loud) because of the accuracy.
