This book uses great analogies to explain difficult subject of the faith. It is separated by two section Belief and Worship and explains things In an easy straight forward manner. It is not meant to take the place of Catechism of the Catholic Church, but explain items of faith in a easy way than reading the Catechism. If there are any questions the reader could go deeper into the Catechism since the book is cross referenced.

Online Catholic studies course - book 5. Another great book in this series, discusses 4 levels of happiness and how the question is answered - "Why am I here?" "To love and serve God and to be happy forever". Happiness can only be found in God. Also, some profound revelation re: the Eucharist (page 67).
This handbook does a good job of taking the post-Vatican II Catechism and outlining it. This small book is user friendly and provides more then just a summary of the Catechism. Father Lukefahr actually explains difficult areas and highlights what he feels are important areas.

This is an ideal book for review of the Catechism or as a primer. The sections in this small book are referenced back to the correct section of the Modern Catholic Church Catechism book. It is a quick way of reading show more some of the doctrine that was changed after 1900 years. show less
Father Oscar uses the Sacramental Principle to help us understand the Catholic teachings for those with no theology background. He does this in an easy to read overview on the history and dogma of Church teaching. The book starts with creation and how God gave us a wonderful world that could be paradise. But he also gave us free will, which we used to disobey God. And through our choice, we introduced sin into the world.

The book explains how Jesus intoduced the Sacraments to us and what show more they are. How God speaks to us through the Bible and is in contact with us via the sacraments. Church traditions are based on time-honored methods we have been using for years. And sacred traditions are based on the official teaching of the Church. Some truths of God have been available to us since we walked the earth. The book then covers Catholic Prayers, the Church's position on saints and guardian angels. And a short history of the Church. show less
