Short biography
[from Barnes & Noble website]
Henry J. Roth, Ph. D. received his doctorate in Special Education, School and Counseling Psychology from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He has been Principal of therapeutic day schools in North Carolina and Chicago. He has been an adjunct instructor at Northeastern Illinois University, and most recently at George Mason and Trinity Washington universities.

Over his career, Henry has used eliciting early memories as an effective therapeutic counseling technique. In occasionally running across a president's memory in his reading, Henry became interested in finding other presidents' memories and analyzing how they helped to shape their character and actions. This book grew out of that interest.
