I received a mobi.file copy of this book through a giveaway the author had on LibraryThing and the following is my honest opinion.

When we see a happily married couple, there are times we can’t image any difficulties they might actually have, difficulties which are driving their relationship asunder. Alexis and Joel Nichols are such a couple, and the curves life has thrown at them has left them ignoring more and more of them, which has begun them not only to estrange themselves from the show more friends they’ve got, but more importantly to estrange themselves from each other.

Yet, despite the difficulties they’re having, I believe neither one will ever allow the other to fall completely. There’s a certain underlying commitment which is present, a commitment which has the ability new again.

From time to time as I read this book, I heard parts of Fergie’s song “Won’t Let You Fall”, like that of the chorus, playing in my mind:

“And through the depths of high and low
Wherever you will go I’ll follow
To the end
Back again, you know
Won’t let you fall
Fall out of love
‘Cause together we’ll be holding on
‘Cause all we have is us
Won’t let you go
Go away again
Because I don’t need nothing at all”

For having given me a second chance romance which is fraught with emotions, I’ve given Kate Smith and this book 5 STARS.
