An account of the Nazi genocide of the European Gypsies. This is a very overlooked topic in Holocaust literature and I'd wondered why. I think I know now -- the authors explained there's a paucity of information on the subject, since most Gypsies didn't leave behind written accounts and diaries, and their deaths weren't recorded as carefully as were the Jews'. This book also includes information on the historical prejudice against Gypsies and the challenges they face today. I only wish it show more had been longer. show less
This is a remarkably shallow analysis of child abuse and murder. According to the notes, the authors usually didn't dig much deeper than reading news articles about the crimes, and much of the book covers the murders in only a few sentences each. Court documents were generally not consulted and the killers themselves were not interviewed. Give this one a miss.
