Weakness in the plot

Some obvious stereotypes and the plot has few surprises. A moment with a weapon early in the book that needs to be re-crafted because it lacks clarity.

The world-building felt thin. A veneer of walnut over cardboard. The Guild is never really explained, the hunters are poorly trained, and the wolves are idiots.

I cannot recommend this book, though it is not the worst paranormal book I have read this month.
