David Hardy (7) (1959–2022)

This is an easy book to dip in and out of, and a difficult book to sum up better than the subtitle does: "Stories from older lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender & intersex people".

The majority of the people in this book are Australian. There is an eclectic mix of writing styles -- David Hardy has written a significant proportion of the pieces, most of the rest are autobiographical. Length runs from barely a page to probably the longest at 6 pages -- and these are quite dense pages, with show more quite dense text and narrowish margins.

Note that these are quite frank on a number of topics, including but not limited to surviving homosexuality as a criminal offence, living as HIV+, the numbers of Family lost during the AIDS crisis, and medical abuse. On a more positive note, there are also some very frank discussions of the active sex lives of some of the participants.
