Suitable for ages of about 1 to 5, this board book contains 6 of Mother Goose's most popular rhymes, each illustrated by a different artist. I think children would enjoy these fun, classic rhymes, as well as all of the bright, comical illustrations, featuring animals. In addition to this I believe children who experience "Favorite Mother Goose Rhymes", will improve in their reading, listening and speaking skills, as they will want to say the rhymes over and over again. The fact that this is show more a board book is great, as it could obviously withstand being thrown about by young children. It's also quite small in size, which means it would be easy for children to handle. The only criticism I have about "Favorite Mother Goose Rhymes" is perhaps it's a bit short. I think 2 more rhymes would have been a perfect size. show less
These were kind of cute stories and all but when your whole magazine is only like ten pages you really don't have room for more than one story.
This children's magazine is published 9 times a year. It includes short stories and poems that range in theme from silly stories to ethnic folktales and legends to historical fiction. Great for readers age 8-10 to read new stories throughout the year. They can also submit poems, jokes and letters to the magazine to be published in print or online. Illustrations accompany each story and poem; the style of illustration fits the story, from silly cartoons to fanciful drawings to realistic art.
