Bard Bloom (1970–2023)

A very odd fantasy game. Set in a world where everyone literally lives on the branches of a multiple-planet sized tree, the characters (various anthropromorphic animals) were given sentience, magic, and authority by the gods, making them Primes, and rightful rulers. Metal is vanishingly rare, and the monsters are not the typical ones from most fantasies. With highly-complex societies and social interactions, the setting is well defined, but what you do with it less so.

This book is very entertaining and it's a page turner reading. I read this book in three days because I didn't manage to put it down. I like the main character, a fiery tempered dragoness and all the witty dialogues and funny situations with the other dragons. I'll be reading the next book to see how this adventure ends.
