Sergio comes home from school after a terrible day at school. His mother helps him see that it wasn't all bad by using marbles on a scale. Each good thing and bad thing that happened is represented by a marble. It all weighs out to a positive day and Sergio learns about negativity bias and the importance of being thankful for the little things. Best suited for elementary grades 2 and up.
A good lesson, but more of a lesson than a story. Before you say something, THiNK: is it...
True?
Helpful?
Necessary?
Kind?
If not, maybe don't say it! (As Thumper instructed in Bambi: "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.") Good for curriculum.
