Colonel Alvarez is in charge of a mission on a new spaceship to a new place in space. They arrive at the location and everything is going wrong. Something weird and strange has taken over the spaceship. Alvarez is the only one not effected.

The character development is not excessive - it would have been nice to have seen a bit more change within the main characters, but overall it was sufficient. The book takes place over a very short time span, so there isn't room for a while bunch. We do show more see some glimse of past experiences malign the characters into what they are now, which is nice and insightful.Novos station and being a retired Colonol doesn't change the deep down perspective of what being a parent means, at least to me. In his afterward he wrote quite frankly about what he had to do to make ends meet, and I genuinely respect that.

The dialogue and writing style are excellent. The science is realistic and original. The action and thrills keep building in intensity with a clear understanding of what might happen in the future. I look forward to reading the next book in the series from this talented Sci-Fi author.

I would like to review the box-set book by book.

Rebel's Construct
This was the first book of the Sim-Verse series.
I liked the story of the space miner finding a ship and entering the Sim-Verse.
I thought that the protagonist Taven Smith was a bit annoying at times, always asking questions and being impatient.
I was reminded at times of the Matrix, isn't that right Mr. Smith?

Rebel's Gambit.
Just like Star Wars (the original movie trilogy), this second part of the Sim-Verse saga was better then show more the first part!
We still follow Taven Smith and Cat, the woman with green eyes, in the Sim-Verse.
I'm not sure why Cat changed Taven's DNA, but maybe the reason is love (and that is all you need).
A fun read and going straight to part three!

Rebel's Rule
For me this book was the best part of the trilogy, hopefully the first trilogy!
Taven Smith is developing his abilities and trying to save the Sim-Verse, but he's still looking for the truth outside of himself at least in the first part of this book. Fortunately he's also growing more confident and finding answers in himself.
I enjoyed this book.

Eleazar strikes back!

I've enjoyed the return to the Simverse! Where time flows in different speeds.
We follow Taven in his mission to stop Eleazar from realising his evil plans. I liked the new and faithful friend of Jaron. Would love to play a game of cards with them!

Disappointing finish to the Sim-Verse saga.

In this last book of the Sim-Verse saga, we follow Taven in his effort to save the multiple realities of the Sim-Verse.

After finishing the book and the series I was left with a lot of questions.

Is pain more real than love?
Does it matter if we live in a simulation (like some scientists believe)?
If we could live multiple lives from the some starting point, would we make better choices?

I didn't like the ending of the series.
