Juliana Foos , this is my kind of twisted tale. A modern/future version of Beauty and the Beast where a young woman is planning the revenge of her parents. But it seems that fate has different plans for our two main characters. This is a well written story with people who each feel the hate in their hearts but there is still something between them that they are almost fighting against it. This is a book that is meant to be read again and again. It touches you in a way that you never thought show more would happen when you first started reading the book show less
Radox was devastated when his wife, Myrya and unborn daughter were killed in a bombing , he was grateful to the medic who tried to save them but thought no more about her as he mourned his loss. Tara wished she could have saved both but didn't want to be in the hospital, she had to get out as fast as she could. But felt something wasn't right until she had a special visitor asking for her to find something special and give it to Radox. Two people find each other with the help of a spirit and show more a child. What will it take to keep them together or will there be to much unsaid things that will keep them apart? I love this book! Tara is a strong-willed woman, independent yet there is something else about her. A defender/fighter for those that are slaved/stolen/hurt/killed/downtrodden. A smuggler who hides her true self. I love the interactions between Radox and Tara, their emotions are so strong. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK show less
Be sure to read the books in order. I had read the first a little while back and was confused with the ending of the first and beginning of the second. But once I understand that while the first was Adanya's story through her eye, Thanes's story was going on at almost the same time from his eyes. But once I looked back at the end of book one , I understood how the story was flowing. I 1000% enjoyed book two, Thane confronts Pherelle to leave his family alone, but before and after being in show more her home he feels a strange energy , a power that strengthens his own and can't figure out where is it coming from. But when Pherelle's slave revolt , Thane and his brother Radox show up and help save the slave and a cage that had someone in it. When they find out that it's Layla , there is happiness to have her back but soon there are feelings that are confusing for both Layla and Thane. The feelings between the two are so strong that I could almost feel them myself. Plus all the they went thru to 1 . Layla to stay concealed from Thane and 2. when he searches for her. I love the ending. Now it's onto book 3 show less
As the third book in Juliana Foos Bloodline Series , it's a perfect fit for book 1 and 2. Theodora is the vampire Princess of the New Coven and finding an alien really wasn't part of her plan. But she knew when she did, all she could think about it coming true. Juliana Foos has brought us a book that is exciting, with so many emotions that it's like a roller coaster ride. With all the highs and lows in the story, it gives the reader a sense of being in the story. When you can give this show more feeling to the reader, they are constantly on the edge of their seats waiting to read what is next. show less
