I've been going through a lot of danmei/yaoi lately, and this is by far in my top 5 so far. The artwork is light and lovely, but it is the story and the care with which it is presented that gets me. This is a slow build, with a full world underneath it of which we just get glimpses. While it's a little heavier on the chibi moments than really suits me, that's minor. The humor is pretty good, the actions and reactions of the characters are reasonable and proportionate, and there is so much to show more like about it.

Yes, it is all centered around the "sex is medicine/sex is life force" trope that I've run into in other manga, but it is done well here.

By the second volume, when the fire gets lit under the romance, it is nearly perfect. We don't have just the Seme/uke sweaty sex typical of a lot of the genre. instead, we have two characters who are making love to each other, who are learning how to be together. It's not just sex. It's erotic and romantic and tender and all those things that push it beyond just porn into something special.

I hope the story continues into more chapters, because there is a lot left to be explored.

Big jump up in rating from vol. 1 to 2...in her afterward the mangaka mentions that she was really waiting to get to where the plot goes in vol. 2, and I can totally see that passion in this volume! Hot, sweet, and kept surprising me with the smart turns in conversation and the satisfying way characters react to and address parts of the story.

I can't give up on "genre BL" because I find these gems like these sometimes!
A gorgeously drawn, well-written boy's love story that's super fluffy writing-wise and literally with all the adorable bunnies everywhere. I love the cast and the plot and just everything.

Also minor thing, but I really love how when they move in together, they have separate rooms, so they don't have to spend ALL their time together. Even couples who love physical intimacy with each other need their space sometimes.

Looking forward to finishing "Therapy Game"!
Tbh I went in thinking I was not going to like this one, as it is not my usual type of thing. It was more comedic than I expected, which definitely helped as I am a sucker for comedy BL every once in a while, and the pitfalls I expected when I read the summary were fairly well-avoided. I thought it was going to be super spicy because of the M rating, but it must be a rating for the overall series as this had basically no spicy scenes at all (yet.)
