Well written with great characters. Just leans a bit more toward hard boiled than I usually read so just a matter of taste. For fans of that sub-genre this is probably a 5 star read.

This was a boring mystery. The author, a former LA police officer tells it in first person of one of the main characters Dicky, but it is told almost the story unfolds and evolves, so there is no actual story just a facts and discovery, so the reader never gets involved or cares about any of tue characters. Worst of all the bad guy isn’t caught at the end of the book.
Won’t be reading any others in the series.
