So many different aspects of the varying effects of a relationship that found itself when both men, Matt and Thomas, had left their wives, and found each other. What did this do to all the children, wives, etc. over time....all the secrets involved, especially when all of them are forced by circumstances to live close together. Well written with characters that seem like real people...not imaginary in the least.

A raw, honest memoir of a man coming to term with his sexuality. You feel his pain as a child, as a young man and husband, and later as a Father. Reading this as a Mother, my heart breaks for that young boy who wasn’t good enough in his own eyes. An eye-opening read for sure. The author doesn’t hold back, doesn’t make excuses. You feel his pain, also his families turmoil. We have come a long way, but there is still a long way to go. I hope this book helps anyone dealing with the show more pressure of pretending and helps them to accept and love themselves.

I expected more of a storyline about the cat fishing, especially since it was listed on the cover, but it was more of an after thought.

Took me FOREVER to finish this book! Don't you hate when life gets in the way of things that are most important to you. Loved this book!! Not a fan of books that make me cry and this book made me cry TWICE. Might have to look into other books I've passed up in lieu of a stuffy nose. If you haven't come out yet or know someone who hasn't, read or recommend this book. If you have come out and are having difficulties adjusting especially when you have children, read this book.
