This edition is a selection with modern prose translation on the facing right page. It therefore foregos the rhyme scheme is prose making it more readable and accruate in terms of meaning than the Nevill Coghill modern verse translation (note that it was first published in 1951 also as a Penguin Classic).
The Middle English text is one taken from the well respected Benson Edition, The Riverside Chaucer.
