**Beautiful book**
I love this book! Recommended for children up to age 8 (or so). It's a short story so ideal for reading aloud in a couple of sittings (or all in one go if you've got the stamina!). The story is very simple, beautifully told, with delightful illustrations and nicely produced too. Reminiscent of Heidi (which was my favourite story as a child), it's the story of Maria who lives with her grandfather in a small mountainous village and one day, in the show more cold winter snow, she finds a small abandoned wolf cub lying under a tree. Love it. Perfect for cold wintry evenings. ***** 5 stars. show less
