Writing Through the Darkness
Easing Your Depression with Paper and Pen
by Elizabeth Maynard Schafer, Ph.D.
I was extremely impressed with this 216 page how-to using journaling in it's many different forms to get to the truth and help to release the pain and deep feelings. Having suffered from depression myself I can see how this book will go far in guiding us to find the light and peace we so desperately need
The style is gentle and the format is easy to follow, with a multitude of suggestions show more and info along the way One of the many things I enjoyed about this noble helper is that it is not overwhelming, I was glad to see that the author presented the material in small bites at a time because I can remember having very little focus or energy during the darkest times of my life. I would recommend this very loving and worthwhile read to anyone who suffers from emotional trauma and is looking for a clear way out. Thanks, Elizabeth for your honest dedication.
