Nothing wrong with this, just not character-types I like. In an age-gap romance I'm looking for a couple of thing: I want to know why the characters like each other enough to try to overcome the age gap and I prefer a more mature personality in the younger partner. In this book, Cherry was incredibly immature. She is 19 and I also prefer that characters aren't still teenagers. It's probably more realistic to have the 19-year-old be immature but it's not what I like to read in my show more fiction. I also just didn't understand why Cash and Cherry really wanted to be together. There's a lot that is keeping them apart and it wasn't established well enough what made them fall in love for me to believe that they would be so into each other that they would try to fight past all these conflicts. I like age-gap romances, I think they can be fun but this one just had too many things I didn't love. I liked the writing a would definitely read more by this author. show less

I could not put this one down. If my house caught fire, I would stumble as I tried to escape while continuing to read this. iPads are less flammable than paperbacks right?

So much passion. So much love. Kinky and tender at the same time. Reading bliss.

If there is something good that has come from this whole Black Lives Matter situation, a situation that is long overdue, besides the most obvious being human rights, it is finding authors that weren't on my radar before. This was an exceptional book.

There were times it made me feel uncomfortable but at the same time intrigued to see how things were going to play out between Truly and Noah. There was a complexity and vulnerability to them that I was drawn to and I enjoyed watching show more them come to terms with their baggage. I really enjoyed watching Noah on his path to be better.

I struggled with the side characters, Becca and Ethan, which is why this book didn't rank higher. Aside from the friendship that they offered to Truly and Noah, their relationship and fights didn't really serve a purpose.

Still, a great book. I'll be looking for more from this author.

Sex kitten meets lion tamer

Another good romance from Carmel Rhodes. Great chemistry between the main characters. I found Cherry herself a bit too immature and selfish. The resultant angst left me cranky and irritable. Luckily that didn’t last too long. Caring and devoted Cash was the perfect counterbalance to Cherry’s youthful behaviour.
