Oof, Shiho is such a pain...
Although I do get her in her backstory. I do know what it feels like having a friend who seems like they want to support you, but at the same time they're better in everything than you, even though you take it more seriously than them. And you don't know whether or not they're only keeping this friendship because they like being better than you, or if they're completely oblivious about your feelings and don't mean no harm.
Since you can't really talk to them about show more it because you know how they'll react and it won't change anything, the best option is to cut the contact and go separate ways. It's not healthy and the hurt won't go away, also mostly transform into anger, which you'll likely let out at innocent people who have nothing to do with that... but yeah.
At the same time, Shiho was a narcissist (kind of) since she was a kid, and her backstory didn't change that. Becoming a bully and talking down upon everyone just bc are jealous, doesn't make it better. You're just a jerk if you act this way.
Tbh I do admire Hima's spirit of wanting them to get along again, and I know they will likely end up resolving things (as it's always with story-arcs like these), I'm not really eager to go through and read all this drama. Some things are better to be left alone. You don't need to resolve every fight you had in your lifetime. If anything, Shiho simply needs to go to a therapist and get a hobby where she can let her anger out, without bullying and annoying others. show less

I like trashy yuri sometimes, but this was just a blatant Bloom Into You ripoff.
Think about it.
Black-haired tall third-year girl has never been in love before, but falls in love at first sight upon meeting a kind, short, salmon-haired first-year girl. The black-haired girl confesses her feelings honestly after some romantic tension between the two. However, the salmon-haired girl doesn't reciprocate her feelings... at first (she's actually demiromantic and is trying to figure out what love show more really means). Meanwhile, the black-haired girl's blonde best friend is secretly in love with her!
This plot applies to both series! And Bloom Into You does it so much better!! show less

Shiho's an even bigger jerk, but it's kinda cool, how the author's not even trying to make her likable. Or maybe she is, and it's only causing the opposite for me...
If Aki and Shiho really are gonne make up, I'm gonna scream. Out of unhappiness, that is. Aki deserves a happy ending and Shiho is like the opposite of a happy ending. That girl needs therapy really bad.
Talk about your issues with Aki all you want and finally tell the truth, but I'm not gonna support any friendship. As I said in show more my review for volume 5, some things are better left alone.
I did love the scenes with Himari and Yori though! They're so cute!!! show less

Awww that was so cute!!
Love at first sight from both girls (even though a bit different), supportive friends and cuteness overload!
Although I'm not much a fan of misunderstandings and am a bit afraid how volume 2 might start, since the ending of vol1 was a bit angsty, I think this manga did a really good job in still being good enough. The healthiness makes it great. I also love how there were no sexualities mentioned and the characters didn't need to explain they like women or them show more questioning their own sexuality. It was immediately accepted and shipped by everyone. I just love that normalcy.
I also love how there's platonic crushes or generally shows how much of a thin line there can be between platonic and romantic. Not that platonic crushes are talked down upon, it's just really rare to see representation, even if it hasn't been mentioned explicitly.
I hope they do get to resolve their misunderstandings and have a serious talk with each other.
Also, excited for the anime adaption, which is why I started reading now! show less
