Jillian and Elliott could not be more complete opposites. Yet, as the saying goes...opposites attract. Although, the chemistry was there between Jillian and Elliott, it took a little bit before they shared their first kiss.

Right from the beginning, I fell in love with Jillian. She was outgoing and had a feisty side to her. One that she was not afraid to say it like it was towards Elliott. I had to laugh at the uncomfortable situations that Elliott found himself in. The more out of his show more element he was, the more I laughed. By the end; Elliott had learned to unloosen his tie.

I do have to give a shout out to Elliott's parents. They definitely brought the comedic humor as well. Elliott's father with his X rated orchids and his mom with her comments like telling Elliott that Jillian would make a good girlfriend as she has "child bearing hips".

If you looking for a funny and romantic read then you have to pick up a copy of Bad Influencer.

This book was such a good read it had me laughing hard one second then filled me with so much angst the next second. Callie and Shane use to date when they were younger and a summer filled with heated kisses led to broken promises and resentment left for Callie. Years later Callie is in desperate need to help preserve her family legacy and hotel that has been in Swampy Bottom for generations so as a desperate woman she searches Shane out and he doesn’t even remember her or so she thinks. show more They are both full of regret and bitterness with words that were left unsaid but they both need each other’s help and this brings them closer together. There are a lot of twists, moments you want to scream at your reader, and times you will laugh so hard but can these two overcome a past full of regret and move on or will they let things, curses, and resentment come between them? There were so many secondary characters that just made the book like the band members, Grandma Mae, Fiona, etc and I hope we will get more of them especially Magnus. show less

I laughed several times at the antics of these crazy characters. It is a book filled with Southern charm, humor, sarcasm, and a lesson on the importance of finding the meaning of home.

There were parts of this atory that I absolutely loved. There were others that weree just ridiculous and drove me crazy. It was the good parts that reminded me of Steele Magnolias that kept me reading.
