Short biography
Lexa Luthor is an avid writer and reader of the Omegaverse trope especially including F/F pairing. In her books, each main character(s) is a strong-willed female, who navigates difficult situations but always ends up finding love with their mate. Every tale has a twist and is gripping, sexy, and even a bit adventurous.

When not writing, Lexa enjoys binge watching television shows like Game of Thrones, Gentleman Jack, or The L Word. Her other favorite hobbies are playing cornhole, rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, and laying around the pool in the summer. At times, Lexa finds time to read romances (both dark and fluffy) and great sci-fi books but nothing else can beat a steamy, downright erotic F/F romance with biting, knotting, and slightly possessive love.

This is one of those rare books that I picked up solely because of the cover. I didn't read the blurb but loved the cover so that was that. I'm actually really glad I didn't read the blurb because I probably wouldn't have given it a try if I had. Also I had no idea what the hell the "omegaverse" was.

After cracking it open and reading the blurb and the bit of explanation that immediately followed it, I had to stop and read part of it again. It included something called "G!P" which I had show more never seen before. It stands for girl penis. Now I'm intrigued so I dive on in.

Of Iron and Gold grabbed me from the first page and held my attention all the way to the end. There was a little bit of intrigue with kingdom politics (very, very little), some fights between Alphas, lot of romance, and loads and loads of sex (and loads). If you're penis averse, even when it's a woman sporting it, you should absolutely avoid this one. But if you're okay with it and enjoy super hot sex scenes, you're in for a treat.

This is listed as a stand-alone but also as the first in the series. I looked at the second in the series and it seems to take place in the same universe but dealing with completely different kingdoms. So you can read this one and stop and not miss anything. No cliffhangers!

Interesting start to a sci-fi tale. Clearly this either was, or vibes off of Clexa fic. I’m def caught up in the mystery and curious to see where it goes next, esp from that cliffhanger. I will say I’m surprised a little at how many reviews are saying things like “wasn’t sure if this was wlw, because one character has a penis” that’s…. Wildly transphobic. Does a/b/o have history with being vaguely transphobic at times, depending on how it’s used and the context, yeah, but show more genitalia does not a gender make, y’all. It can be a case of “not for me might be for you” but This is still sapphic, wlw, content. show less
Enjoyable story with abrupt ending but I have the second part so I don't need to wait to get back to the story. Now that I'm more familiar with the omegaverse and am able to focus more on the writing itself, I'm less impressed. It definitely reads amateurish with misused words, repetition of passages, and other stuff you tend to see in fanfic. With as long as this is and the way part one and two are broken up, I wouldn't be surprised if this was a massive fanfic. But I'm connected enough show more with the characters and plot that I'm okay with it. show less
I absolutely loved this, clearly started as a Clexa fic which is a massive bonus for me I nearly squealed as I realised 😂
I rushed to Amazon so fast when I finished this and really wanted to buy the whole series in physical copies but I can’t afford them, I have ordered them on kindle though 😂
The writing isn’t the best especially at the start, but the plot, world building and characters are amazing, I recommend!
