I don’t want to pick on this too much—it has its moments. Some sound advice. Just—just a fair amount of it doesn’t quite work. Some parts do! This is a very, very accessible book about stress and anxiety—I’d recommend it for people who want to learn more about that, but who don’t like books very much.
I found this book extremely helpful -- the combination of personal stories, relation to brain function and specific suggestions on how to short circuit specific behaviors really works for me.
Amusing, and full of pretty good advice. It's not exactly groundbreaking advice, but if the humor of the book helps this settle in someone's mind, I'd say that's a good thing. I'm not much of a self-help reader, but this wasn't painful.
Nothing new, standard cognitive behavioral therapy stuff, but told in a very down-to-earth, conversational, regular guy style that many may find appealing.
