If you haven't stepped beyond contemplating the world of daylilies and you live in New England, here's a tried and true journey into that world. Lewis Hill and his wife Nancy have been fortunate to have been able to study a variety of horticultural pursuits. Antique apples and native, hardy berries accompany daylilies among over a dozen book subjects the Hills have written about in past years.
This book shows how easy it is to grow the perfect perennial. Not only is there great planting and show more maintenance information, there's a nice list of daylilies they have grown and can recommend as being successful in New England. Some of the daylilies mentioned are available on-line at http://vermontflowerfarm.com which is our business, or at other Vermont nurseries. Occaisonally we mention some of these daylilies, from Bitsy or Becky Lynn, to Hyperion, Jersey Spider, Oriental Ruby, So Lovely or White Temptation on our blog, http://thevermontgardener.blogspot.com. We try to spread the word about a great garden flower and continue what the Hills have started so well. show less
