Tione is happy with where he is at making food for Sanctuary and hanging out with nature and his merry band of crazy dogs but after Megan turns up on Sanctuary's door steps all battered and bruised and hiding a lot of things from everyone. Both Megan and Tione are wary of each other and watching how they slowly let their guards down with each other is sweet, but you know you can never hide from your past and they both have one. There are plenty of emotions to go through with this book and show more you are just glad Megan and Tione decided to head to Haven Bay and Sanctuary so she can heal and learn what having real friends and being loved is really like.

Tony and Lucia both think they are going to get alone time when they head to their friends cottage, neither know the other is going to there are some good laughs when they find out they have been double booked. I thought Tony and Lucia were great you connect with them so easily and just want them to be together and Tony definitely works on showing Lucia they are good together. I really enjoyed this book and left me with a big smile at the end.

I loved how driven Clarissa was about her business and customers, but it was sad her love life took a back seat after a truly bad experience in her past, however you also get why she shies away from guys. Mark is a delicious man who has a wonderful relationship with his Mum but oh boy when we find out why he put the hand break on serious relationships etc you want to hug him and slap some sense into him at the same time. We get to see everyone from the previous books which was great, as you show more see where they are at now, while seeing how things unfold for Clarissa and Mark and getting to know their families as well which is not all rainbows and unicorns. I am thinking this is my favorite of the series so far! show less

Finally we learn about the mysterious Zeke and he certainly is a complex guy and felt for him when finding out the reason for all the tattoos and piercings, then the is Fifi and her history that led her to working for King's security for which was the best move for her. A painting is missing and it's Zeke's chance to get close to Fiona as well a prove she didn't steal the painting recently as well as hopefully solve the past theft. These two are perfect for each other even though it takes a show more bit for Fifi to see it but when he offers to do the one thing he never wanted to do again you know he is serious.
