I loved being back in Haven Bay and we finally get to know the deeply private and recluse Gray and it is all thanks to Mikayla who doesn't take no for an answer and needs a distraction after coming to Haven Bay to get over the utter mortifying encounter with her boss. I loved how Gray finally gets motivated and ever so slightly nudged in a gentle way to start living again and being out in the open. There are loads of laughs, familiar face and new ones as well as some heartbreak, show more hopelessness, attraction and love. I can not wait for Destiny Falls to see what happens there!!!!.

I loved how driven Clarissa was about her business and customers, but it was sad her love life took a back seat after a truly bad experience in her past, however you also get why she shies away from guys. Mark is a delicious man who has a wonderful relationship with his Mum but oh boy when we find out why he put the hand break on serious relationships etc you want to hug him and slap some sense into him at the same time. We get to see everyone from the previous books which was great, as you show more see where they are at now, while seeing how things unfold for Clarissa and Mark and getting to know their families as well which is not all rainbows and unicorns. I am thinking this is my favorite of the series so far! show less

Evie has been through a lot and is a bit lost in life, she tries to be be strong and independent but things change in life and I totally got how she felt about Christmas as this is my first without both parents. Fate has decided to intervein for Evie with a crap car, closed garages, pouring rain and one person from her past that she wants to dodge more than her friends. I loved Davy he is so sweet and funny as well as wants nothing else but to help Evie whether she likes it or not and this show more leads to heartbreaking moments, laughs, families, friends and learning to listen to your heart.

I loved getting to know Brooke more after getting glimpses of her in the first book and wow she is a strong and determined women who has already overcome so much, then there is Jack and well Jack is such a bloke and has held on to the betrayal from his last girlfriend at the detriment to himself and other women. You have plenty of highs and lows to go through with both Brooke and Jack as well as times where you want to shake sense into them and laugh along with them as they show more slowly find out more about each other as well as themselves. I will admit there were a few tears at times but it just couldn't be helped with how connected you end up feeling to Brooked!!
