I am a tea junkie, so naturally, when I was given this book on tea, I read it cover to cover.
I must say that each author has a different perspective of what "tea" is. Some considering all dried plant bits brewed in hot water to be "tea", but Cason here clearly separates the Teas from the Teasans.
While the book is not the most informational book on tea, it does provide an overview of tea, the history, the process, the types, the methods, and the locales.
Ideal informational source for any show more person wishing to know more about tea, or any teaologist looking for a quick refresher, or formerly unknown fun facts. show less

I have wanted to read this book for a while, and I won it in a raffle at one of the San Antonio Tea Meetups. I think it's a darling little perfect guide for people to read who don't know much about the history of tea, how it was made, how it's effected time or what to do with it now.
I found this in a book sale and had to add it to my tea book collection. Though I wouldn't call it The definitive book on tea, it was all right. It gives the reader a tour through tea, its origins (but thankfully not too much of this), definitions, explanations - I'd recommend this for a first-time tea book reader. For me, although I did notice a few typos (perhaps it was an ARC?), I though it was a pleasant, quick read - nothing learned but good reminders.
Short, leaves (no pun intended) a lot of detail out. Want to know more.
