There are issues of slavery and abuse, but do NOT read in public as chortles will also ensue.

The series is ideal for young adults, the writing is young, easy to read, and swift: there are no questions asked and anything said is accepted at face-value. The book reads like The Black Cauldron, narrated from Hailey's point of view.
