This is a small book of essays that speaks to individuals' struggle and quest for acceptance, either by others or themselves. Some essays come off as 'self-helpy' and others try for providing inspiration based on obstacles they've overcome or realizations they've had and for me, not all hit the mark. But all of them emphasize the importance of our own stories and the power/empowerment that comes from sharing them. "Women on the Loose" by Sue Monk Kidd was my favorite.
Meh, I didn't really connect with any of these essays. Some of them were a slog to get through and others just didn't speak to me.
